Although losing isn't a formal concept at my high school, it happened and this loss helped me realize how to cope with the loss of something, as well as being strong and coming up from a situation like it.
The football players at my school handle losses a lot levelheaded than expected, and that's a pretty respectable trait coming from 106 immature high schoolers who can make fun of or laugh at anything in the world.
After losing one of my best friends to the pressures of high school, I realized that I was being indirectly taught a lesson about life. In football, losing a game is pretty bad and it's upsetting to realize that the one thing you love was taken away from you. That's how it is in the real world as well. I lost an amazing friend to people who could care less about him. You have to take that into consideration. When you lose a best friend, it's not a good feeling. It's not fun. It's not cool. It's heartbreaking.
Although some people in other countries might not understand my logic, just compare it to a big soccer game or a sport that you love to play. Losing isn't perhaps the best thing to happen to you is it? Wouldn't you rather have something to cherish instead of something to cry over?
I just want every person in the world to go and come back 20x stronger than they should. That would be amazing. Just keep ballin, keep being cool, just go and win.
Go and carpe diem everything.
